FROM KITCHEN TABLES TO COURTROOM VICTORIES Celebrating 10 Years of Tittle & Perlmuter

We still can’t believe it’s been 10 years. What started as a few big ideas and a couple of desks has grown into something far larger than we could have imagined. We set out to build a firm rooted in doing things the right way: putting the client first, leaving no stone unturned, and showing up with integrity every day. We’ve gone from handling medical records at the kitchen table to leading a team that fights for justice all across Ohio.

together with Allen, I knew starting this firm would be an excellent opportunity to help people the way we knew was authentic. There was already a need for our services, so the biggest challenges were operating a business sustainably and with a growth mindset. It was by no means easy, and there was a big learning curve in owning a firm. In some ways, growth challenges never cease, but they’re good problems to have, and it’s a new adventure every day. ALLEN: There are so many cases I’m proud of in the decade of Tittle & Perlmuter, as well as our continued involvement in the community. No matter how busy we may get, our team cares about volunteering, like hosting food drives and handing out meals to those in need. It’s important to me not only to help our community through the cases we handle but also to try to make it a better place overall. SCOTT: Every day, there’s something I’m proud of in the work we do and the impact we’ve had on the community. We’ve had significant and rewarding case wins in terms of dollars and people who’ve had catastrophic events in their lives. But we also try to be good stewards of the community through charity and volunteering our time. There are little moments as a lawyer when a client expresses gratitude that remind you why all the difficult work is worth it. ALLEN: You’re either growing or dying, so as we move into the firm’s future, I hope we continue to grow. We want to expand our geographic reach through satellite offices and continue to build our team. We’re working to improve our operational side with a new director of operations to truly provide our clients with the best service.

ALLEN: I was inspired to start Tittle & Perlmuter because I knew I needed my own law firm to serve clients the way I believed was right. I’ve always been driven by the David versus

SCOTT: We’ve established something sustainable in our firm that continues to be an essential resource for the community. My goal is to continue to grow that in our image and keep providing for people during stressful, difficult times in their lives. They need someone to take the helm and advocate for them, and I don’t think many other firms do it quite like we do. You could be the world’s greatest lawyer, but it doesn’t matter without clients. We are so grateful to the people who have trusted us over the years to handle these weighty moments in their lives. Your support and belief in us have helped us make it to 10 years, and more than anything, we are just glad we’ve been able to help you. Looking back on those early days, the relationships we’ve built with community members and clients past and present are what truly define our success. Here’s to more growth, justice, and chances to serve!

Goliath nature of the cases we handled and the belief that if you do things the right way, all the way through, money and success will take care of themselves. We’ve grown a lot since my kitchen table to a shared office space and now own our current building with a thriving team. In the early days, we did everything — from ordering medical records to hiring the first employee and figuring out how to manage people and run a business.

SCOTT: I’m passionate about helping people when there’s no one else to turn to, and I’m also pretty strong- willed about doing things the right way. After working

with them is relatively safe and easy. Pack a picnic, explore, and see what you can find along a river or lakeshore. WATERSKIING While this sport requires access to a speedboat and a skilled operator, arranging to try it can offer unforgettable thrills. Nothing can compare to the exhilaration as you first rise above the waves and stand on your skis; participants also get a full-body workout! Waterskiing poses a challenge for beginners when crossing the wake and keeping their legs beneath them, but the rewards are worth the effort! This summer, consider vacationing near a body of water to explore these aquatic activities or others, such as sailing or bodyboarding. You will create lasting memories and may ignite passions your kids will enjoy for years!

Few outdoor activities are more fun to do as a family than beating the heat in the water. A facility as simple as a community pool can offer fun for all ages, including wading, diving, and lap swimming. As summer gets underway, consider making plans to try more complex aquatic sports as a family. Here are four exciting options that will inspire the whole family to take the plunge. STAND-UP PADDLEBOARDING This sport originated among Hawaiian surfers and began gaining momentum nationwide about a decade ago. Participants stand upright on a flat, buoyant board and propel themselves over lakes, rivers, and oceans with a single paddle. Paddleboards are bigger than

SNORKELING Snorkeling is a great family activity for all ages if you’re vacationing near an ocean. Flippers, watertight goggles, and snorkels are easy to rent or buy. Exploring the wonders beneath the waves is as easy as floating on the surface and paddling your flippers. While any clear ocean waters can be fun to explore, consider trekking to Hawaii or Cozumel to see spectacular schools of fish and rock formations. CANOEING AND KAYAKING Few aquatic activities offer more opportunities for reflection and quiet conversation than paddling a canoe or kayak. These watercraft are usually available to rent near lakes and rivers, and, barring rough weather, navigating

telling him his blood sugar was too low. As he headed toward the fridge, he noticed his 13-year-old dog, Gita, wanted to go outside. Shortly after being let out, Gita took off toward the woods, and her owner followed in pursuit. After traveling 20–30 feet, the man turned around to head back home when dizziness overcame him. He fell to the ground, broke his hip, and immediately started shouting for help.

Gita remained by her owner’s side for some time before realizing nobody would hear him in the secluded woods. She jumped into action, heading toward a well-traveled street, where she encountered a sheriff’s deputy. The deputy tried to get the dog in his vehicle to no avail, so he surveyed the surrounding area to find Gita’s owner. The deputy could not locate the owner but still felt something was wrong, so he turned his attention back to Gita. The two locked eyes before Gita stood up and ran toward an unmarked side street. Gita led the deputy directly to her owner before any more harm could come to him. After the event, the Stevens County Sheriff’s Office posted “Hero Dog Saves Owner” and their account of the story on Facebook. Gita certainly proved her loyalty and bravery that day!

The bonds we develop with our pets are unlike any other we experience. They depend on us for their every want and need, and we often give them whatever they ask for! We know they would do the same for us if the roles were reversed. As the years pass, that bond deepens, making Gita’s Heroic Dash to Save Her Owner

TAKE A BREAK

TOGETHER FOR 10 YEARS A Decade of Gratitude From Tittle & Perlmuter This July marks 10 incredible years of serving the Cleveland community, and we wouldn’t be where we are today without you. At Tittle & Perlmuter, we’ve built our firm on the belief that people matter most, and over the past decade, you’ve shown us just how true that is. Whether you’ve turned to us during a difficult time, referred a friend, or simply supported our journey, we are grateful you’ve been part of our story. Every case, conversation, and connection has helped shape who we are today. Helping people through life’s most challenging moments isn’t always easy. Over the years, we’ve seen the strength of our clients as they bravely seek justice and the beauty of their resilience as they move forward and build a better future. Each of you has inspired us and made the long hours and hard work worth it. Knowing we helped make a difference in your life means the world to us. Thank you for trusting us, sharing your stories, and letting us be a part of those happy moments of success. We couldn’t do this alone, and our team gives their all to clients. Whether they focus on building strong connections with the people we serve or participate in extra training and community events, our employees shine. We’re incredibly proud of them and will continue finding new ways to nurture their careers, help them grow, and show them how valued they truly are. We hope they have made you feel heard, respected, and confident that you are never alone through the hardships you face when you work with us. The community here has many organizations, professionals, and real-life people caring for each other. Giving back through volunteering, whether we’re lending a hand during the May Dugan Center’s food distribution days or providing free legal help during pro bono clinics, is one of our favorite ways to connect. As we celebrate this milestone, we’re not just looking back — we’re looking to the future where we will continue to fight for justice, help people in a time of need, and continue to serve this community we love. Thank you to all of you who have been part of this journey.

PROCRASTINATION GOT YOU DOWN?

The Zeigarnik Effect Could Be the Key to Your Success

Take a moment to reflect on your high school years. Were you the student who completed all your assignments well before the deadline? Or were you the student waiting until the last second to get started? Maybe you thought you could still do it in time with a passing grade, or perhaps you didn’t know where to begin. Regardless of the reason, you procrastinated. Many people associate procrastination with schoolwork, but you can procrastinate about work, household chores, and even fun experiences like vacation planning. Those who struggle with procrastination have likely tried countless strategies to improve their efforts,

you have tasks you need to do, don’t commit to finishing them in a day or assigning yourself a deadline. Instead, commit to doing them for five minutes. Once those five minutes have passed, you can step away from the task. However, oftentimes, you continue working because you’ve found your flow and don’t want to leave it unfinished. If you continue to leave your tasks unfinished after starting them, try breaking them down into smaller steps. Each time you accomplish one of the smaller tasks, you gain motivation to continue your project. If you need to step away from your desk for more than a few
