mentored 35 authors. “There are many talented and dedicated Black writers who have written well- crafted works that deserve publication,” she says. “I teach authors how to use AI to publish and market their literary works, start and manage their publishing company, and use AI business tools,” Milligan says. With what AI brings to the business world, she adds, “there is a new business landscape. There is no more ‘business as usual.’ ” Milligan emphasizes a need to “equip Black authors and entrepreneurs with the tools they need to thrive. Literary talent matters. The power of storytelling, especially within marginalized communities, is immeasurable.” Tech equals success With plans to franchise My Tech Academy and to provide an afterschool technology class for students in grades 9 to 12, Milligan wants people of all ages to understand the urgency and importance of staying ahead of the technology curve. “I want business owners to fail-proof their businesses by staying ahead of technology,” she explains. “Seek a business coach, because sometimes you’re too close and too overwhelmed to detect changes that need to be made in your business. Finally, keep in mind that the more you learn, the more you can earn.”
