THE BANKER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM OFFERS:
The Banker Development Program at California Bank & Trust is a credit and business development training program designed to grow wel l-rounded banking professionals with strong analytical and relationship management skills. The program is designed to provide challenging training and career guidance that will prepare the participants for the various aspects of California Bank & Trust . The program emphas i zes relationship management, sales and credit analysis skills that will set the foundation for a successful career in banking. Applicants should have a strong interest in communication, business development and sales.
• A solid foundation in the basics of banking
• A defined career path that begins with classroom training as an Associate Credit Analyst which could evolve into a relationship or portfolio management role • One-on-one working relationships with high-level bank decision makers • The opportunity to apply finance and accounting skills to assess credit and business risk • Increasing responsibilities in business development and relationship management or lending and portfolio management
• Opportunity to get exposure to other Zions Bancorporation divisions
PHASE I - INITIAL TRAINING (4-5 months)
The Initial Training Phase focuses on learning with a classroom- based approach. Participants complete the Credit Foundations Program, as well as receive professional development and bank-specific administrative training. This may be virtual or there may be two 2-week trainings at the Zions Bancorporation headquarters in Salt Lake City, Utah and/or a 1-week session at Amegy Bank's headquarters in Houston, Texas.

PHASE II - ROTATIONS (10 - 11 months)
The primary objective of Phase II is on the job application and development of knowledge and skills. Credit Analysts work closely with bank officers performing data input, comprehensive credit underwriting and preparation of loan presentation packages. On the job training is accomplished through a structured rotation system. Credit Analysts are assigned to specific lending groups for a series of rotations, averaging 12 weeks each. During these rotations, Credit Analysts perform analytical work required for a particular lending group. The rotational system facilitates the placement process and ensures the development of experienced bank officers by offering each Credit Analyst in depth exposure to various lending groups, including: Commercial, Commercial Real Estate, Corporate Banking, Private Banking, Business Banking.
