ÉDUCATEURS(RICES) DIPLÔMÉ(E)S, GARDERIE ST- JEAN & LA CROISÉE L’éducateur(rice) diplômé(e) sera sous la responsabilité de la gérante du service de garde et sera responsable de : x Mettre en application un programme éducatif comportant des activités ayant pour but le développement global des enfants sous sa responsabilité; x Veillez à la santé, à la sécurité et au bien-être des enfants; x Assurer une gestion professionnelle et efficace de la programmation et des activités du service. Le roman de L. MMontgomery, Anne of Green Gables, est un classique canadien qui a été adapté au grand écran, au petit écran et à la scène de Broadway. RAPA entreprend maintenant la tâche avec sa propre production de l’histoire, dumercredi 15 novembre au samedi 18 novembre à 19 h, à Russell High School. Il y aura aussi un spectacle en matinée le samedi à 14 h. La pièce est dirigée par Elizabeth Ferguson et Kevin Kennedy et produite par John Tobias. Holly Hughson jouera le personnage principal Anne Shirley. Shirley, while Debbie Guilbeault will play Marilla Cuthbert and Stuart Brink will play MathewCuthbert, siblings who take in Anne as their foster child. Over 90 people showed up to audition for the play back inMay, therefore the organiz- ers decided to expand the production and created more roles to accommodate the enthusiasm. Originally a play that called for 16 characters, RAPA’s Anne of Green Gables includes 30 people, half of which are chil- dren. Over 60 additional people are included in the backstage work, such as costume and set designers and hair and makeup artists. RAPAwas founded in 1989 and is a local, non-profit amateur theatre company. RAPA puts on twomajor productions per year, this year being Anne of Green Gables and Les belles-soeurs . Tickets for the play running from November 15 to the 18 t are available online through the RAPA website or at the four ticket outlets: Foodland and Pronto in Russell and Tuque de Broue Brewery and Village Bakery in Embrun. Auditions are now also open for RAPA’s Spring 2018 production of Ella’s Lounge: A Rock Opera , fromNovember 28 to November 30 at Russell High School. Vocalists, actors, musicians and dancers are all welcome to audition for different parts.

The Russell Association of the Performing Arts (RAPA) is back with another produc- tion – bringing a quintessential Canadian story to the stage. L. MMontgomery’s novel Anne of Green Gables is a Canadian classic and has been adapted to the big screen, the small screen and the Broadway stage. In the spirit of Can- ada’s 150 th anniversary year, RAPA has also decided to celebrate this Canadian classic. Its production of Anne of Green Gables hit the stage onWednesday, November 15 and will be presented until Saturday, November 18, at 7 p.m., at Russell High School. There will also be a matinée show on Saturday at 2 p.m.The play is directed by Elizabeth Fer- guson and Kevin Kennedy and produced by John Tobias. Kennedy and Tobias also serve as members of the RAPA Board.The play will also be presented to the Russell area schools for a special School Day performance the morning before the opening, on Tuesday, November 14. Anne of Green Gables is the story of a high- spirited, red-headed orphan who comes to a small, quiet town and livens up the lives of the people she encounters.
