championed the Ayrshire Hospice as their chosen charity and each presented to senior school staff as well as a YPI representative why that charity should receive the money. Congratulations to the pupils from Stewarton Academy - Ellie, Elizabeth and Abigail - who won and secured the £3,000 top prize. This will help fund a new Young Adults Room within the new Hospice building - giving young people their own space to relax and enjoy the company of their
friends and family within our new In-Patient Unit. All of the students who represented the Hospice within the programme were fantastic ambassadors, helping to raise awareness of the care and services provided to patients and their families throughout the community. A special shout out to the boys from Kyle Academy - Elliot, Harry and Cameron who choose to fundraise for the Hospice while working
sessions and beauty vouchers - the online
raffle was launched and what a wonderful success it was raising £1,240 ! Erika was delighted by the support from other businesses and of course the response to the raffle, so much so she has said she hopes to make it an annual event. If you’ve ever tasted one of her cakes you know you’ll be first in line to buy a ticket next year!
