BOAT LIFTING SLINGS

WE MANUFACTURE AND STOCK A DIVERSE RANGE OF FLAT, ROUND AND HEAVY LIFT TWIN-PATH SLINGS with custom lengths available on request. Each sling is individually proof tested to Australian Standards and supplied with a Test Certificate. Capacities range from 0.5 tonne to 600 tonnes.

TYPES OF SLINGS SYNTHETIC SLINGS CAN BE USED FOR A VARIETY OF LIFTING AND TOWING APPLICATIONS AND HAVE MANY ADVANTAGES OVER LIFTING CHAIN, INCLUDING LOW WEIGHT, EASE OF HANDLING AND PROVIDING A NON DAMAGING LIFT TO MATERIAL.

TWIN-PATH ® SLINGS Our unique 'Twin-Path ® " licensed and patented sling range is made to order and used for heavy lifts up to 600 tonnes. The Twin-Path ® range offers the ultimate in abrasion resistance and contains a check fast tag and external warning indicator for a pass/fail inspection of the internal load bearing core yarn. The Twin-Path ® is renowned as the market leader in ergonomic design and can be repaired in most instances. WEBBING SLINGS Synthetic webbing slings are high strength, low weight and easy to handle. In lifting applications they stretch less than rope slings but still absorb shock load extremely well. The two most commonly used synthetic webbing slings used for lifting in Australia are 'Flat' and 'Round' Slings. Both types combine dimensional stability with great flexibility and shape instantly to the load cradling it with balance and security. They are very suitable for handling highly polished surfaces without damage, and are colour coded to conform to Australian Standards AS4497 and AS1353. ENDLESS SLINGS Endless Slings are made in both flat and round configurations and comply with the relevant Australian Standards. Round Slings are manufactured from a hank of polyester yarn of one or more strands wound together continuously to form an endless sling. The sling is protected by an outer sleeve which is non-load bearing. Endless Flat Slings are manufactured from woven synthetic-fibre webbing and sewn together to form an endless sling. The Endless Flat Slings come in both single and double ply configurations.

CARE AND USE

Check Australian Standard AS4497 and AS1353 for use and inspection guidelines

Never overload the equipment

Do not use if ID tag is removed

Inspect sling for damage prior to use

Do not use sling if there is any sign of cut webbing, snagging, heat or chemical damage, excessive wear, damaged seams, any other defect or presence of grit, abrasive materials or other deleterious matter

Do not tie knots in sling webbing

Protect sling webbing from sharp edges of load. Use protective sleeves

Do not expose slings to temperatures above 90°C

Do not allow abrasive or other damaging grit to penetrate the fibres

Consult with manufacturer's recommendations before immersing a sling in a chemical solution

Keep away from strong alkalis and phenolic compounds.

FLAT WEBBING SLINGS

Flat Slings, commonly known as webbing slings, are an all-purpose lifting sling enabling a strong and non-damaging lift of a load. They are extremely light weight and flexible. The Beaver Flat Sling is made from polyester webbing sewn into a continuous length with an eye at each end. When used they cover a broad support area, which cushions the load against damage and reduces slipping. The low stretch characteristics of the polyester webbing also prevent ‘load bounce’ when lifting.

ROUND SLINGS

MEGA ROUND SLINGS FEATURES AND BENEFITS • All purpose lifting sling made from high strength polyester yarn continuous loop made from polyester yarn encased in a sleeve of polyester or nylon fabric. The sleeve is constructed, so that it protects the internal rows of yarn filament and keeps them in a parallel formation at all times. Round slings are an all-purpose lifting sling enabling a strong and non-damaging lift of a load. They are extremely light weight and flexible in multiple directions, allowing easy and quick manipulation even when fragile loads are being lifted. Round slings are a

WEAR RESISTANT COVERMAX ® OUTER COVER WOVEN • Outer cover fabric is more abrasive resistant than common nylon or polyester. REDUCED RIGGING TIMES • Up to 80% reduction in rigging times. SAFETY • Reduce exposure to back and work related injury. PROTECTIVE SLEEVES • Covermax ® pads and sleeves available if required. Twin-Path ® slings are manufactured in Australia by Beaver Brands, (under licence from Slingmas), and are constructed with K-Spec ® high performance fibres which will not stretch under load - enabling accurate control. The slings consist of a Covermax ® outer cover, which is four times more abrasion resistant than other slings with standard polyester covers. TWIN-PATH ® TOW SLINGS FROM 5 TO 600 TONNES

Twin-Path ® Slings consist of two independent cores.

If the early warning indicators (EWI) is missing, the sling may be unfit for use.

SUPERIOR PATENTED DESIGN FEATURES

Covermax ® outer cover, is 4 times more abrasion resistant than polyester outer cover.

TELL TAILS / OPTICAL FIBRES • Allows continual monitoring of sling safety.

Armor Wear Pads resist abrasion to prevent sling damage.

Safety Red inner sleeve acts as an early warning device when the outer sleeve is cut or worn.

TWIN-PATH ® ACCESSORIES

EQUALISER BLOCK The Equalizer Block is used to maintain tension on all legs of the sling during a lift. Rather than adjusting slings and hooks prior to completing a lift, the Equalizer Block will automatically adjust itself when pressure is put on the device from the sling. This was designed specifically for Twin-Path ® slings.

TWIN-PATH ® ADJUSTABLE BRIDLES Twin-Path ® Adjustable Bridles are a very useful rigging tool. They replace standard two or four leg bridles, with the additional value of self- adjustment to awkward loads. One leg has twice the capacity of the other leg. As tension is applied, Twin-Path ® Adjustable Bridles self-adjust over the centre of gravity to find the lifting point for level, load handling.
