At the Ayrshire Hospice, our organisational culture revolves around fostering an inclusive and supportive environment where every individual can thrive. As an employer, our goal is not just to recruit talent but to nurture a community where a passion for palliative and end-of-life care flourishes.

“This commitment extends beyond hiring processes; it’s ingrained in every aspect of our work. The evening’s celebration beautifully acknowledged the dedication and spirit of those who contribute to our mission, and we are honoured to have been part of this remarkable event.”

Exciting New Benefits for Our Staff!

The Ayrshire Hospice has recently introduced an improved benefits package to enhance the well- being of staff across the organisation. To launch the benefits bundle, the HR team visited Hospice sites across Ayrshire, offering staff more details about the new perks while enjoying a cuppa and some cake! The new package includes a range of benefits designed to enhance employee well-being and satisfaction, such as a cycle- to-work scheme, tech scheme, discounted technology, access to a credit union, and a health cashback plan. Gemma Reid, Head of HR, explained: “A robust benefits package is essential as it demonstrates our commitment to employee satisfaction, attracts top talent, and fosters a positive work environment. By investing in our employees’ holistic well-being, we create a stronger, more engaged workforce and become an employer of choice.”

We are eager to have volunteers from all walks of life join us. Whether you can support our clinical teams, work in our shops, assist with administration, help tend to our gardens, or even suggest something new, we’d love to hear from you! We’re dedicated to supporting and recognising our volunteers for the difference they make, ensuring that every volunteer has a rewarding experience with us. To strengthen our volunteer support, we have created a new role of Volunteer Coordinator. This role will be key in shaping the future of volunteering by developing and implementing our volunteering strategy, policies, and best practices. Our goal is to create the best possible experience for our volunteers. If you’re interested in donating your time or skills to support the Ayrshire Hospice, or if you’d like to learn more about Corporate Volunteering, please contact the HR team at volunteer@ ayrshirehospice.org
