amount that has been raised. To date, £38,737 has been raised with more still coming in every day! The group were missing two friends who were unable to make it. Unfortunately, Colin Young and Elaine Thomson could not join the trek as planned but both continued their amazing fundraising efforts. In a special nod to his trekking friends, Colin trekked the same distance across various paths throughout Ayrshire, and to finish with a humorous gesture…he had a ‘dessert’ each day!!! Well done Colin! Enjoy your trifle!

Congratulations to the Sahara Trekkers following an epic five-day trek across the desert in October.

A massive well done to Rosy McMillan who recently climbed Ben Nevis in honour of her friend, Tracey, who died after her battle with cancer back in April.

With soaring temperatures, sore feet, blisters, sweat, and

tears, they’ve certainly given it their all and definitely enjoyed a well-earned rest. Well done to

Rosy wanted to raise money for the Hospice as the staff "took amazing care of Tracey and her family, ensuring their comfort and love." As Tracey loved the outdoors and was a keen hillwalker herself, she had always wanted to climb Ben Nevis so this was Rosy's motivation for the challenge and her first Munro! Rosy has so far raised a superb £2,804 with donations still pouring in. Everyone at Ayrshire Hospice wishes to thank Rosy for her fantastic effort so far.

Annie, Angela, Elaine, Heather, Graham, and Vicky. What an accomplishment for you all and we’re sure many memories were made! Everyone at the Hospice is so grateful for all of your efforts and the fantastic

Gifts in Wills

By Kathryn Howell, Senior Fundraiser (Grants & Legacies)

Leaving just 1% of your estate to the Hospice makes a real difference to families affected by life-limiting illnesses. A gift in your Will is an incredible way to leave a lasting legacy for our patients and their families living with a life-limiting illness. If you would like to talk about including the Hospice in your Will or discuss any other legacy-related issues, please contact Kathryn Howell in our Fundraising Office at 01292 288488 or email kathryn.howell@ ayrshirehospice.org .

Gifts in Wills make a huge difference to Ayrshire Hospice patients and their families. One in three of our patients last year were cared for thanks to 38 kind supporters who left a gift in their Will to the organisation. By remembering the Ayrshire

Hospice in your Will, your legacy will be much more than just giving a donation. You’ll be giving care and support to our patients and their families for generations to come. It means that years from now, the Hospice will be here to help those in need of care and support when it matters most.
