In this issue, I am delighted that you will be able to read about the next step in our ambitious Capital Build Project - the appointment of the contractors who will oversee the redevelopment of our traditional home at Racecourse Road in Ayr over the next two years. You will also be able to catch up on all the news from our wonderful supporters who continue to fundraise for their hospice via an extraordinary range of challenges and events; from trekking across the Sahara Desert to climbing Ben Nevis, every penny raised by our wonderful community helps us continue to make every day matter for families affected by life-limiting illness.

Hospice Golf Day holes over £17K

Lovely Staff Nurse Eileen Messer retired after 20 years of service within the In-Patient Unit at the Hospice. Eileen will be missed greatly from the team, who are extremely lucky to call her a colleague and most importantly a friend. It’s not a goodbye but a see you soon as Eileen is coming back to the IPU as a bank care assistant - she just can’t keep away!

The Ayrshire Hospice held its annual Golf Day at West Kilbride Golf Course in August and raised a fantastic £17,874 ! With 37 teams teeing off throughout the day it was the

49 to claim victory ahead of ABRDN with a score of 51 and O’Neil Gas with a score of 52.
