Hospice donates beds to Ukraine crisis

our lottery collectors who go out in all weathers to collect for the Ayrshire Hospice. “It was a wonderful afternoon and a great opportunity to celebrate the team’s achievements and success of the Hospice lottery.” Those present were delighted to learn more about the future of our Hospice and watched a fly-through video of the new building presented by Ayrshire Hospice Chief Executive Tracy Flynn.

The challenges being faced on a daily basis by healthcare professionals and citizens trying to deliver care in a war-torn environment are profound, and I am immensely proud that the Ayrshire Hospice has been able to assist.”

The Ayrshire Hospice was contacted recently by a kind- hearted supporter who offered to make bags that could be used in the In-Patient Unit. Janet Peacock reached out to offer her services to make some colourful bags that can be used to carry syringe drivers - which deliver medicine effectively to patients. The bags are modelled by Clinical Pharmacist, Fiona Knight and Care Assistant, Suzanne Craig in the IPU recently.
