VPC & VET Introduction
The Victorian Pathways Certificate (VPC) and Vocational Education and Training (VET) programs offer students ractical, handson learning experiences that support diverse pathways to success in Senior School. Designed to be flexible and inclusive, these programs cater to individual interests and strengths, helping students build skills that are directly relevant to the workforce or further education. By integrating vocational training with core academic subjects, the VPC and VET programs empower students to stay engaged, gain confidence, and achieve meaningful qualifications that prepare them for life beyond school. The VPC is designed for students who benefit from an applied learning approach tailored to individual strengths and needs. It focuses on building skills in literacy, numeracy, personal development and work-related learning, and is a valuable option for students seeking a flexible and supported transition to employment, further education or training. VET courses enable students to gain nationally recognised qualifications while still at school. These programs combine theoretical learning with practical experience, offering insight into specific industries such as hospitality, trades, health, creative industries and more. VET supports students in developing real-world skills and enhances future employment and training opportunities, including apprenticeships, traineeships and further vocational or tertiary study.
Together, the VPC and VET offer inclusive, engaging and future-focused learning opportunities that recognise the diverse interests and goals of our students.
