WHAT IS HEAD START? • Head Start is a Victorian Education Department program available at The Lakes South Morang College. • It allows students to begin their Apprenticeship or Traineeship whilst studying at school, and can convert into a full-time program and pathway when students graduate. LEARN AND EARN The tailored program is incorporated into a normal school timetable so students can complete their studies while working in their chosen career path. Students must be 15 years or older in order to participate and are supported every step of the way by a Head Start Coordinator. INDUSTRIES AVAILABLE Head Start is available across all industries. These include the traditional trades such as Carpentry and Plumbing, as well as the Health and Community sectors, Civil Construction, Agriculture, Child Care, Business, IT, Engineering and many more.
