COLLINGWOOD LIGHTING’S CAIMAN VERSA LUMINAIRE IS ARGUABLY THE FASTEST TO FIT AND MOST ADAPTABLE ANTI-CORROSIVE FITTING CURRENTLY AVAILABLE ON THE MARKET… No need to measure up with versatile new luminaire

The luminaire can be switched between single and twin fittings and correlated colour temperatures.

Collingwood Lighting’s new anti- corrosive Caiman Versa luminaire features a unique full mounting slider, so you don’t need to measure up where to place your bracket drill points. Once you fix the bracket, you can slide the housing anywhere to position the luminaire where you need it. Collingwood Lighting maintains that this and other features make it the fastest to fit and most adaptable anti-corrosive fitting currently available. Lee Brodie, technical manager at Collingwood Lighting, said, “Getting the right light for industrial applications is vital for both production and safety, but fitting such lighting exactly where your customer needs it can be a problem if the joists are in the wrong place. “This product gives you enough leeway so that you can make sure that you provide the illuminations which you need, where you need it.” The luminaire, available in 4ft, 5ft and 6ft options, allows you to switch between the output of a single and a

twin fitting from the same product. You can also change the correlated colour temperature in each fitting to choose between warm white (3000k), cool white (400k) and daylight (5700k). “Just as in other commercial environments you will find different lighting requirements in an industrial setting,” said Lee. “Where operators need to concentrate on detailed work, they will need a high lux level and a cool white light. Yet for a canteen or break-out area, a lower light level with a warmer colour is better. “Having a fitting that you can adapt, means that you can meet these different needs and even alter them in the future as the building adapts for new uses.” If you need to save energy, dimming or emergency options, then you can adapt the fittings using the company’s range of plug-in Versabox accessories. They include on/off microwave sensors, step-dim sensors, manual test, self-test emergency conversion kits and bolt-on, on-off or step-dim PIR sensors.

Designed with the installer in mind, Caiman Versa is fast and simple to install. In addition to the full mounting slider, it has both rear and side conduit entry points, a quick release terminal block which you can reposition, and a shape that will not rock on the bench when you plug the kits in to adapt it. The luminaire comes with mounting clips, hanging bracket and compression glands supplied as standard. Once installed, the luminaire is tough enough to withstand harsh environments with an IP66 rating and an impact resistance of IK10.
