UNIFORM
The student dress code aims to:
• Foster a sense of community and belonging and encourages students to develop pride in their appearance • Support The Lakes commitment to ensuring that our students feel equal and are dressed safely and appropriately for College activities • Reduce student competition on the basis of clothing • Enhance the profile and identity of the College and its students within the wider community.
Students are expected to comply with this while travelling to and from school, during school hours and when attending College activities.
COMPULSORY •
INTERSCHOOL SPORTS
School logos on, shirts, jumpers, and jackets. • Navy blue pants or shorts – school emblem is the only accepted logo (no leggings or bike shorts) • School uniform check dress or skirt of appropriate length (no skorts). • Black shoes, including black soles and laces. These may be in the form of runners or closed- toe dress shoes. • Plain navy blue, black or white socks/tights/stockings • The Lakes cap or navy blue plain hat • Navy blue or aqua beanies or headscarves (no logos) • Navy blue or aqua gloves and neck scarf (no logos) • Navy blue or aqua scrunchies, hair ribbons, hair baubles • Plain navy blue or white undergarments (skivvy – no hood, thermal, singlet) • The Lakes schoolbag • UV approved Sunglasses
• Special interschool sport uniforms provided for some sports. No jewellery for team sports • Short nails for team sports •
DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS Development Program specific uniform is required for students during their scheduled Development Program sessions.
Uniform items can be purchased from Lowes Plenty Valley - 415 McDonalds Road, Mill Park, 3082, Australia.
