Already have a will? A letter of wishes or a codicil, added to your original will, is sufficient to make a change and leave a legacy to the College. All that is legally required is for the document to be dated and signed by yourself, witnessed by two others, and for the Charity name, number and address to be noted. Do speak to your solicitor if you have any questions. Make a free will If you don’t have a will, we offer a free online service via Farewill, the UK’s leading digital will service. It can take as little as 15 minutes to fill out the information for a simple will. During the process you will be asked if you would like to leave a legacy gift to the Charity and we ask that you please consider this. Join us! If you would like to support the future of our schools, please make a pledge and join the Devonshire Society. For enquiries, pledges and more information please reply or contact Development Officer Liz Silvester, at lmsilvester@eastbourne-college.co.uk / 01323 452261.
Why I’m leaving a legacy ‘I am grateful for the vision and generosity of Eastbournians before me, leaving me with a legacy and a school that has prepared me for the challenges in the wider world. Joining the Devonshire Society is my way of paying it forward to future generations of Eastbournians to share the same experience.’ James Fok – School Governor (Pennell 1997-2002)
