Educating Clients
Suggested Strategy: By using the Present & Respond method, the
individual is given the opportunity to have a positive outlook on their
improvement and the process they will go through to improve.
Suggested Questions:
→ Present & Respond: Hypothetically, if I were to present to you that you
need to improve in educating your clients on all the options and benefits
available to them, how do you think you would positively respond to
that?
→ Self-Actualized Question: What specific actions do you think you
would take in response to that feedback?
Suggested Activities:
→ Teach Me: Have your coaching target walk you through their typical
conversation with a client and the steps they currently take to educate
their clients. Then, work with them to create a list of ways that they can
educate their clients further in the future – this can include conversation
pieces and scripts so that they are prepared.
→ Practice: Give the individual a sample situation where they would have
the opportunity to educate a client (you for practice purposes) on the
benefits and options available to them give themselves feedback on
what they felt they did really well and what they would like to further
improve going forward.
