Suggested Activities:
→ Whiteboard Coaching: On the left side of a whiteboard, write down
how the individual would describe their current onboarding process. On
the right side of the board, write down how the individual would describe
the company’s ideal expectations of the onboarding process for new
clients. Then, erase the left side of the board and work with the
individual to create a strategy for implementing the company’s defined
onboarding process.
Suggested Learning Projects:
→ Peer-to-Peer Coaching: Assign your coaching target to meet with a
new peer each week to discuss their onboarding process. How can the
individual compare their new strategy with that of their peers? What
takeaways from their conversations can they put into place in their own
strategies? Discuss their findings at your next coaching session.
→ Observational Coaching: Have the person you are coaching observe
their peers as they go through their onboarding processes. What differs
from person to person? How closely do their peers follow the
expectations set by the company for onboarding new clients?
