Being Natural
ral
Suggested Strategy: Use a Define & Coach Strategy to bring awareness
to the individual’s current ability to be natural, and where they should
ideally stand by putting that definition into practice.
Suggested Questions:
→ Define & Coach: When I say the word “natural” as
it applies to yourrelationships with others related to
your work, how do you think you would define that?
→ Risk Question: What risks do you think you might
mitigate by becoming more natural in your
relationships based on that definition?
→ Success Imperative: In what ways will mitigating
those risks help youreach ultimate success in your
position with the company?
Suggested Activities:
→ Whiteboard Coaching: On the left side of a whiteboard, write down
how the individual would currently describe the perception of others in
their conversations and relationships with them. On the right side of the
board, write down the definition of being “natural” that you had
previously discussed. Then, erase the left side of the board and
brainstorm together a list of strategies and actions for the individual to
implement as they practice being more natural in their real
conversations and relationships at work.
