Leaving Great Voicemails

Suggested Strategy: Use a Define & Coach strategy to help the individual

set a defined vision of success for themselves in being able to leave

great voicemails, as well as create a strategy for them to take in working

to reach that definition.

Suggested Questions:

→ Define & Coach: When thinking about leaving great voicemails, how do

you think you would define what that might specifically look like?

→ Success Imperative: What actions do you think you are committed to

taking to practice that definition in your own voicemails?

Suggested Activities:

→ Teach Me: Have the individual walk you through a typical voicemail that

they would leave for someone. Then, have them analyze it for what they

think works well and what they might want to improve to make it great so

that the person on the other end is more likely to return their call.

→ Role Play: Now, work with the individual to create scripts to implement

the improvements that they noted from their current voicemail style.

Then, have them practice these scripts with you as though they are

leaving a voicemail for a customer or prospect.
