Suggested Learning Projects:
→ Peer-to-Peer Coaching: Ask the employee to choose two peers to
practice with throughout the week. Have them practice playing both
roles again and both the employee you are coaching and their peer
should give feedback on the role play. Have the person you are
coaching email you after each role play practice session with two
takeaways that they can put into practice going forward in their own
presentations with customers
Supplemental Coaching Strategies:
→ 30-Second Coaching: Take 30 seconds to verbally acknowledge effort
and improvement in the speed of the employee’s presentations with
customers. Be specific in letting them know the actions that you have
observed and how their actions will be beneficial in their conversations
with customers.
→ Observational Coaching: Ask the employee to observe their peers in
their presentations in the coming week. Have them email you with three
examples of steady presentation speed by their teammates, as well as
the outcome of the conversationbased on the presentation speed.
