Suggested Activities:
→ Role Play: Have your employee/employees go through a role play
scenario where you are in a conversation about a topic that you’ve had
multiple conversations about when it comes to conflict. Have the
employee, at the end, describe what they were feeling when they had
to answer questions they’ve been asked before, or what responses
they want to give when they’ve been asked the same questions before,
etc.
Suggested Learning Projects:
→ Journal Based Coaching: Have the employee track during the week
the number of conversations they have with employees that they have
had multiple times that center around conflict. Were they productive?
Did anything change? Did they learn anything new? Or did they
continue to get irritable, tired, etc.?
Supplemental Coaching Strategies:
→ 30-Second Coaching: Reinforce the employee’s ability to know when
to not rehash over communicated conflict situations by leaving them a
quick email saying you’re noticing their efforts.
