Being Personable

Suggested Strategy: Use a Define & Coach strategy to help bring the

individual’s awareness to the perception that others may have of them

and compare it to the ideal perception that they would like to give others.

Suggested Questions:

→ Define & Coach: When thinking about being personable in sales, how

do you think you would specifically define what that behavior would

ideally look like?

→ Third-Party Question: If we were to ask your peers how they would

describe your personality in relation to that definition when working with

you, what do you think they would honestly say?

→ Self-Actualized Question: What actions do you think you might take to

help positively alter the perception that you give others so they see you

as personable?

Suggested Activities:

→ GOAL-Based Coaching: What does this individual strive to become

Great at in their career? What Opportunities might become available to

them as a result of becoming great? What Actions must they take to

help bring those opportunities within reach? What will the individual

Love about reaching their goals? How might the individual giving others

the perception of being personable help position them to reach their

goals even faster?
