→ Self-Directed Learning: Have the employee come back to your next
coaching session with three ideas of ways to improve participation and
how those improvements will affect results and performance.
→ Journal-Based Coaching: Ask your coaching target to write in a
journal the ways that participation team behaviors and relationships and
ways that those concepts were observed over the week. Have them
bring the journal entries to your next coaching session for discussion.
Supplemental Coaching Strategies:
→ 30-Second Coaching: Upon noticing positive participation in a
meeting, take 30 seconds afterward to let the employee know why you
appreciated a particular comment or suggestion.
