Positive Feedback Within the Team
Suggested Strategy: Coaching in a group setting - make sure that the
group has the knowledge to give and receive positive feedback
Suggested Questions:
→ Rating Question: On a scale of one to six, with six representing a daily
practice, and one represents some hesitation or reluctance, where
would you rate your practice of giving positive feedback? How about
receiving feedback? What actions can we take together to help you
reach a six?
Suggested Activities:
→ Whiteboard Coaching: On the left side of a whiteboard, write down
how the group would describe their current ability to give and receive
positive feedback to each other. On the right side of the board, write
down the ideal description of what it looks like to give and receive
positive feedback well. Erase the left side and then write down the
group’s ideas of actions to take to help them reach the level of
comfortability that they had defined on the right side of the board. What
benefits does the team gain as a result of improving these skills?
