Suggested Learning Projects:

→ Peer-to-Peer Coaching: Assign your coaching target to meet with a

peer once in the coming week. They should have a conversation with

their peer regarding their strategy in creating an efficient and quick

routine to start their day. What practices does their peer have in place

that they could take away from the conversation to use in their own

routine? Have your employee email you after the meeting with the

answers to these questions.

→ Tangible Successes: Assign your coaching target to come back to

your next coaching session with three examples of effort put into their

routine to improve the speed of the start to their day – they should be

prepared to discuss specifically what actions they took, as well as

any effect they noticed that their actions had on the rest of their day.

Supplemental Coaching Strategies:

→ Non-Verbal Coaching: Leave the employee a hand-written note at

their desk when you observe an improvement in the speed at which they

start their day. Let them know specifically what actions you observed

and how those actions are beneficial to the employee.
