Suggested Learning Projects:
→ Self-Directed Learning: Based on the actions and goals discussed with
the individual in your activity, have them find three ways in theirworkday
where they might be allowing complacency to slow their progress in
reaching their goals. At your next coaching session, discuss these
areas and the actions that they will put into practice to reach the next
level of success.
→ Peer-to-Peer Coaching: Assign your coaching target to meet with a
new peer each week to learn about how they continually push
themselves to the next level of success. What do their peers specifically
do when they feel complacency setting in? What takeaways can your
coaching target put into practice on their own as they seek success?
Supplemental Coaching Strategies:
→ Non-Verbal Coaching: As you observe the individual pushing
themselves continually to reach the next level of success and position
themselves closer to their goals, write them a card to share with them
the specific actions you have observed that have helped with their
progress and how those actions are appreciated. Leave the card at
theirworkstation or send it home with them at the end of the day.
