→ Journal-Based Coaching: One of the ways you can have your
coaching target track their progress is through journal-based coaching.
Have the employee, at the end of every week, journal how many of the
items from the whiteboard coaching activity they worked on during the
week, items that fell by the wayside, and what they learned during the
week. Showing the empl oyee that you’re truly invested in their quality
progress will more than likely keep them invested in themselves.
Supplemental Coaching Strategies:
→ 30-Second Coaching: Reinforce your employee’s progress by leaving
a quick note on your employee’s desk giving them constructive feedback
noting their specific progress they have made.
