Negative Peer Relationships

Suggested Strategy: Using a Video-Based Coaching strategy,

help the employee be aware of how positive peer relationships

can be beneficial to the team environment.

Suggested Questions:

→ Third-Party Question: How do you think your peers might

describe your relationships with them?

→ Risk & Opposite Insertion Question: What risks do you think

you might mitigate by positively interacting with your peers?

Suggested Activities:

→ Brainstorming: Evaluate the current relationships that this person has

with their peers. Discuss strategies going forward to build more positive

relationships through positive interactions – what do those interactions

look like and what might the outcome be?

Suggested Learning Projects:

→ Tangible Successes: Assign the employee to come back to your next

coaching session with five examples of positive interactions with peers

from the week. What strategies from your activity did they put into

practice in those interactions? What was the outcome – did receive any

positive feedback? What do they feel like they might still need to

practice further?
