Suggested Strategy: Define & Coach is the perfect strategy to get the
sales improvement conversation started and open the door to honest
self-evaluation. Set the definition for what is expected of a great
salesperson and get the employee you are coaching involved in
the development strategy starting from that definition.
Suggested Questions:
→ Define & Coach: When thinking about being a great salesperson,
how would you define what that specifically looks like?
→ Success Imperative: What specific actions are you committed to
taking to successfully practice that definition in your own daily
sales strategy?
Suggested Activities:
→ GOAL-Based Coaching: What does this person strive to become
Great at as a salesperson? What Opportunities might become
opened to them as a result of becoming great? What specific
Actions must they take to bring those opportunities within reach?
What will they Love about reaching their goals?
→ Teach Me: Ask the employee to share with you three specific ways in
the coming week in which they will implement the actions you’ve
discussed and how they think those steps will help push them closer to
reaching their goals.
