Supplemental Coaching Strategies:
→ Non-Verbal Coaching: Leave the employee a note when you receive
work of theirs where the attention to detail has greatly improved. Let
them know specifically what they did well and why you appreciate their
efforts.
→ Self-Directed Learning: This strategy reinforces the topic that you are
coaching to – in this case, attention to detail – and gives the person you
are coaching a chance to think inwardly on the task that they are
completing. This also provides a level of accountability, as this is a
coaching strategy that does not require your attendance.
