Suggested Learning Projects:
→ Journal-Based Coaching: For one week, have the employee keep in a
journal the times when he feels the most motivated and why. How can
they harness that positive feeling and use it when they possibly feel less
motivated?
→ Peer-to-Peer Coaching: The employee should sit down with a peer
that they trust in a similar position that they are currently in and ask them
what motivates them at work. This gives your coaching target a break
from their own thoughts as well as gives them an opportunity to get
inspired by their peers.
Supplemental Coaching Strategies:
→ 30-Second Coaching: Take 30 seconds out of your day to let the
employee know what they are doing well in their position – be specific in
your observations to reinforce their positive mindset.
