→ 30-Second Coaching: Assign your coaching target to take 30 seconds
each day to verbally acknowledge a peer’s skill or strength, using
specific details of the actions that their peer has taken that were
observed by the individual you are coaching. This is a great way for this
person to get out and build positive relationships with their peers, while
at the same time positively reinforcing those skills that build the team.
Supplemental Coaching Strategies:
→ Journal-Based Coaching: Ask the employee to keep a journal
throughout the coming weeks with entries noting differences or changes
in their relationships with their peers as they acknowledge their skills
and strengths. What benefits does the team gain by this individual
building up their teammates?
