Suggested Strategy: Utilizing a Rating Question with GOAL-Based
Coaching, you can help bring the person’s awareness to their own
interpersonal skills and help them realize how those skills can help them
reach their goals.
Suggested Questions:
→ Define & Coach: When talking about great interpersonal skills, how do
you think you would define what that looks like?
→ Rating Question: On a scale of one to six, with six representing that
you exhibit that definition perfectly, and one representing that you
exhibitthe exact opposite, where would you rate yourself and why?
→ Self-Actualized Question: What actions do you think we can take
together to help build your interpersonal skills so that you become
closer to a six?
Suggested Activities:
→ GOAL-Based Coaching: What does the individual strive to become
Great at in their career? What Opportunities might be afforded to them
as a result of becoming great? What Actions related to building their
interpersonal skills must the individual take to help bring those
opportunities within reach? What will the individual Love about
reaching these goals? How do their interpersonal skills specifically tie
into reaching their goals?
