Suggested Strategy: Using a Define & Coach strategy, you can ensure
that each individual understands what is expected of them related to
team development and the actions necessary to put those definitions
into practice. Do this in a group setting.
Suggested Questions:
→ Define & Coach: How would you define the expectations set for you by
the company related to team development?
→ Self-Actualized Question: What actions do you think you must take to
put that definition into practice with your own teams?
Suggested Activities:
→ Whiteboard Coaching: On the left side of a whiteboard, write down the
actions that the individuals are currently taking to develop their own
teams based on the definition discussed. On the right side of the board,
write down all of the parts of the definition
of expectations related to team
development. Then, erase the board and
brainstorm with the team the actions
needed to be taken by each person so
that they are all practicing the full
definition of the team development
expectations.
