Team Planning & Execution
Suggested Strategy: Using knowledge- based coaching, seek the team’s
level of understanding regarding the expectations set for them and the
success that they can reach through successful planning and execution.
Execute this initial conversation in a group setting.
Suggested Questions:
→ Teach Me + The Sword: So that I don’t make any assumptions about
your understanding of how planning and execution play a part in our
success as a team, could you all teach me what you think it means to
do this successfully as a team?
→ Self-Actualized Question: What role do you think each of you
specifically play in the process of planning and execution?
Suggested Activities:
→ Role Play & Partner Discussion: Have the group get into
pairs and discuss their specific efforts to help the team be
successful through planning and execution. Ask the pairs to
practice the conversations that they will have with each other
going forward to seamlessly work together to help the team
reach success through planning and execution. After the pairs
have completed their practice and discussions (give them about
5 to 7 minutes to do this), ask them each to share something
that they learned from their partner and how they think their
partner’s plan of action will be beneficial to the team.
