Trust
Suggested Strategy: The primary objective here is to bring awareness to
the effects that the employee’s awareness and willingness to improve
can have on their surroundings.
Suggested Questions:
→ Define & Coach: What does the phrase trust between peers mean to
you? How would you define it?
→ Self-Actualized Question: What actions will you take to successfully
build trusting relationships with your peers?
Suggested Activities:
→ Whiteboard Coaching: On the left side of a whiteboard, write down
how this person would currently describe their relationships and trust
with their peers. On the right side of the board, write down how they
think ideally trust between peers should look. Then, erase the left
side of the board and write down the actions that must be taken in
order to reach the description on the right side of the board.
→ Practice: Give the employee an example situation of two people that do
not trust each other. Ask them to walk you through what those two
people should do to build trust between them – what benefits do both
parties gain by putting effort into trusting each other?
