Trusting Other Departments
Suggested Strategy: Use a Peer-to-Peer coaching strategy to help
employees build trusting relationships with members of other
departments that they may work with directly. This helps down the road
when the employees need to trust another department to execute the
task at hand.
Suggested Questions:
→ Rating Question: On a scale of one to six, with six representing a
complete comfortability with trusting other teams and allowing others to
have control and one representing that you fear allowing others to be in
control, where would you rate yourself and why?
→ Self-Actualized Question: What actions do you think you are
committed to taking to reach a six?
Suggested Activities:
→ Practice: Ask the employee to walk you through situations where they
may feel like they are unable to trust others. Practice the steps to take
in those situations so that the employees you are coaching are more at
ease when having to trust others.
