Connections with Members
Suggested Strategy: Utilize a Whiteboard Coaching strategy to help the
individual see the progress they need to make to become skilled in
building positive connections with the members they assist. Facilitate
practice conversations for the individual to gain confidence in building
those connections when they do interact with actual members.
Suggested Questions:
→ Hypothetical Question: Hypothetically, if I were to ask you
what percentage of the members you
work with that you think you build
strong connections with, what would
you say and why?
→ Risk Question: What risks do you think you might assume by not building
strong connections with the members
that you assist?
Suggested Activities:
→ Role Play: Facilitate practice conversations as though you were the member, and the employee plays the part of themselves. Have them
practice conversations that can be the start to a strong connection with
you, the member. Use multiple scenarios in which the employee would
have an opportunity to build a connection to the member.
