Teller Security Measures Not Followed

Suggested Strategy: Obviously, this is a huge risk for the company and

for the teller that the teller may not even be aware of. Bring awareness

to the risks involved, as well as awareness to the improvements that

need to be made.

Suggested Questions:

→ Rating Question: On a scale of one to six, with six representing a complete adherence to security protocol at your teller window, and one

representing a complete disregard for it, where would you rate yourself

and why? What actions can we take together to help you reach a six?

→ Risk Question: What risks do you think you might assume by not following the security measures that you were trained on? What risks

do you think the company might assume?

Suggested Activities:

→ Knowledge-Based Coaching: Walk me through (teach me) what needs to be always secured in your teller window. What protocol must

you follow with cash/your computer screen/etc.?

→ Make It Fun: Create a strategy together to help the teller stay on track with their safety protocol: give them five chips at the start of each day.

Each time you “catch” them forgetting something security -related, take

a chip away. Each day that they end with all five chips, let them know

that you’re noticing improvement (see supplemental coaching strategy)!
