UCS DESIGN GROUP MARKS 20 YEARS WITH TRIPLE NFA26 SHORTLISTING
UCS Design Group has been shortlisted at the 2026 National Fenestration Awards in the categories of PVCu Fabricator of the Year, Aluminium Fabricator of the Year, and Fabricator/ Manufacturer of the Year, capping off a milestone year for the business as it celebrates its 20th anniversary. Founded two decades ago, UCS has grown from a single-site fabricator into Ireland’s one-stop shop for the trade, manufacturing and supplying windows, doors, commercial glazing and outdoor living products from its Belfast headquarters and Dublin branch. The business serves independent installers, home improvement companies, builders and architects across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. “Being recognised as a finalist in our 20th year means a huge amount to the whole team. Twenty years ago we started as a manufacturer. Today we’re proud to be a genuine trade partner, helping installers and home improvement businesses grow, not just supplying product.”
That growth has been underpinned by continued investment in lean manufacturing and operational excellence, work recognised by Invest NI, which named UCS an Operational Excellence case study following the business’s transformation from a reactive operation into a customer-centric organisation with a long-term strategic focus. That drive for improvement is most visible in Vision360, the all-encompassing platform UCS has developed in-house to give trade customers real- time visibility of production, delivery and order status, one more way the business has backed up its “trade partner” positioning with genuine investment rather than just a slogan. With three NFA26 shortlisting’s and twenty years in business now behind it UCS’s ambitions haven’t changed much, only the scale. Whether it’s product, platform, or people, the business says the aim remains the same: making life easier for the trade customers who depend on it.
