Thynk have lived and breathed tiles in the Australian market for decades and have the depth of experience to provide the best products and service for our customers. At their selection studios, customers receive the undivided attention of skilled, interior designers, for as long as it takes, to ensure they arrive at the perfect tile selections for their new home. They also manage supply of tiles to customer’s homes and provide installation - making the whole process efficient and smooth.
THYNK’s origins started with founder Mick Vrljic, a humble, hardworking immigrant who established himself as a wall and floor tiler in Australia in 1976. With the building industry’s demand for more tiling labour, Mick grew the business M&Z Tiling from his garage where they would organise large teams of tilers and ensure consistent delivery and quality of service. Mick soon realised that in order to provide the builders with a higher level of service, the supply and the installation should be coordinated by one company. So, the supply division was established, resulting in a business name change to Tile Direct. As the sons entered the business, Phillip and Luke Vrljic (now the current directors), helped establish the newmodel and continued to improve on their fathers high level of service provide to the building industry. TileDirect grew from strength to strength, quickly becoming the largest tile supply and install business for the project housingmarket inNSWwho proudly sells Australianmade tiles as part of the core builders ranges.
Space by THYNK is the next evolution of the company, launched in 2021, it provides state of the art builder selection studios showcasing the very best industry brands. Space provides a comprehensive studio for Clarendon Homes customers to complete all their floor and wall tiling selection in two convenient locations in Seven Hills (for Sydney customers) and Beresfield (for Newcastle/ Hunter customers) Today, the business proudly employs over hundreds of local staff and contractors, and is completely family owned and run. Never content with the status quo, the business will continue to change and adapt to the needs of the market and Clarendon Homes customers.
