Fortis Solutions Group LLC , a provider of print- ed packaging solutions and a portfolio company of Main Post Partners, acquired Quality Tape & Label , Marietta, Georgia, which specializes in providing digital shrink sleeves, flexible packaging and pres- sure sensitive labels to the craft beer, nutraceutical, food and health and beauty end-markets. The Armor Group acquired IIMAK (Internation- al Imaging Materials, Inc.). The combined thermal transfer activity is called Armor-IIMAK with consol- idated revenues of more than $400 million. Following the unveiling of the oneLABEL strate- gy, Bobst fully equipped its Competence Center at Bobst Firenze in Italy, where a broad portfolio of Flexo, UV inkjet and All-in-One label presses can be demonstrated. C-P Flexible Packaging acquired Preferred Packaging located in Norcross, Georgia, a manu- facturer of multilayer flexible films, thermoformed containers and a supplier of tray sealing equipment for meal solution providers and school systems. The Royal Group acquired GenCorr Packaging , located in Alsip, Illinois. GenCorr Packaging was established by Tom Beemsterboer in April of 2017 with Vince Baratta joining as a partner in July of 2017. Both continue in their current roles under the new ownership. Hybrid Software Group acquired the entire is- sued share capital of ColorLogic GmbH, a company with its registered office in Rheine, Germany. ColorLogic was founded in 2002 and has devel- oped an extensive portfolio of color profiling and conversion software, recently winning the 2021 Pinnacle Product Award from the Printing United. Its products are sold worldwide to both end users with requirements for color quality, as well as to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) of print- ing equipment. The label segment continued to be one of the most active components of packaging M&A trans- actions in 2021, according to a report from Blaige & Company . After a below-average deal count of the pandemic-impacted 2020, the Blaige & Com- pany proprietary research indicated a return to the historical average label deal count in 2021 of 45 deals. Representing a nearly 5 percent increase over the pre-pandemic deal count in 2019 and a nearly 10 percent increase over the deal count in 2020, the label M&A activity is evidently thriving.
