T

he Airlines Golf Trophy is one of those federative events that Jean-Louis Baroux appreciates and where APG excels in the art of entertaining. The eighth edition took place on 11 September 2024 at the Val-Grand golf course. It was a great day of friendly-business golf, where the various players in the air transport industry came together in a relaxed and convivial atmosphere. Jean-Louis Baroux: Aéroports de Paris originally organised a golf tournament for airline professio- nals. When this event ceased to exist, we decided to create the Airlines Golf Trophy. This year, Mourad Majoul has decided to be a co-partner with his com- pany Avico, the leading aircraft broker in France. Two years ago, we entrusted the organisation to Edouard Tuffier, whose company, Swing, specialises in organising events of this kind, and the mayonnai- se took off! There were more than 60 players and over 100 people in the evening, because our trou-

nois doesn't stop at the prize-giving: those accompa- nying us were also welcome, and those who wanted to took part in an introduction to golf. Edouard Tuffier: I set up Swing in 1992, and we organise around 200 golf-related events every year. Two years ago, Jean-Louis Baroux entrusted me with the organisation of his golf tournament, which was called the APG Golf Trophy, in order to professiona- lise it. The event is open to major players in the tou- rism and airline industries and is financed by a pool of partners with links to this sector of activity. For an event of this kind, I surround myself with a dedicated team and the teaching part is entrusted to an outsi- de pro with a proven track record, who manages to keep beginners and golfers alike on their toes for as long as possible. This eighth edition was a great suc- cess and I think the event will grow, especially as Jean-Louis Baroux wants to give it a more internatio- nal dimension.
