plete conversion of all men and women of the earth and it will become so righteous that Teens will be drawn back to earth to establish His kingdom. The Bible does not teach anything border ing on to this current heresy; it teaches ab solutely the opposite; the authority of Jesus Christ is the best authority in the universe. I will enter His testimony: “And many false prophets shall rise and deceive many, and because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold, and this Gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations, and then shall the end come” (Matt. 24:11-14). The Gospel only uses the term “leaven” in the sense of uncleanness; the process is a process of disintegration. It is not a pro cess in chemistry of preservation. Certainly the Son of God was not an ignoramus in regard to the process of leaven in its ac tion. The leaven of the Pharisees was a destructive principle which absolutely ruined spirituality and caused them to become bit ter assassins. The Scripture says very plainly that “seducers shall wax worse and worse,” that there shall arise false Christs and false prophets and shall show great signs and wonders insomuch that if it were possible they shall deceive the very elect. The falling away from the truth into abso lute apostasy is predicted by the Apostle Paul as well as other inspired writers: “But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.” Beginning with the third verse of the second chapter of 2 Timothy we find the prophecy concerning the apostasy of the church: “This know also that in the last days perilous times shall come, for men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boast ers, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to par ents, unthankful, unholy, without natural af fection, truce breakers, false accusers, in continent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God, hav ing a form of godliness but denying the power thereof. Somebody heard him say as he passed the thirteenth story, “Everything is perfectly lovely so far,” and that seems to indicate the optimism of the false religionists of our time. They are dropping into the blackness of doubt and do not know their danger. When I ask men and women for proof that the world is getting better, they mention “peace conferences” and they get so brazen that a few weeks before the present Euro pean war began they were saying that there would never be another great war; that men were educated far beyond such brutal ity, and the two or three great exponents of the peace propaganda in America are men who deny the Deity of the Prince of Peace ,and absolutely reject Him as Lord and King. I want to say to you that it is utterly impossible to have peace on the earth of a permanent order until Jesus Christ returns to earth and establishes His kingdom of peace. When people refer to the great strides of education as an indica tion that the world is getting better and point to the marvelous achievements of Ger man educators, I desire to say that the beer-soaked theologians of Germany have done more to preach infidelity in the form of the Higher Criticism into the world dur ing the past forty years than all other edu cators combined. EDUCATION FAILS I had a letter from the highest authority in one of the great denominations in re gard to the condition of the colleges of our country. He said that in spite of educa tion, in spite of the advance in science and philosophy, art, literature and all learning, crime is increasing at a greater rate than ever before in the history of America. The current idea concerning the Millennium is that by the process of evolution the world is to be made better gradually, that the Gospel is the leaven that leaveneth the whole lump and the world is the lump, and the process will ultimately end in the com
