What testimony should we be able to give? 2 Tim. 4:7, 8. PRACTICAL POINTS (1) Better count the cost before beginning the battle. (2) He who brags the most is often beaten the worst. (3) Confidence in Christ will insure victory in the conflict. (4) A sling in the hand of a David is better than a sword in the hand of a Saul. (5) In time of danger and distress, even a wicked Ahab will listen to God’s prophet. (6) The wicked are like chaff which the wind driveth away. (7) Defeat and distress await the.man who drinks. (8) The drinker becomes the drunkard, and the drunkard is doomed.
