Methodology
This Guidance has been created based on the three pillars of ESG, (Environmental, Social and Governance). The Environmental pillar focuses on improving sustainability in the environment through your organization’s actions, procedures, and products. The Social pillar pertains to your organization’s efforts in diversity, equity, inclusivity, and social impact. The Governance pillar reflects how your organization implements and evaluates its work within these two pillars.
In creating this guidance, we referenced seven resources:

In providing this Guidance, the working group considered the importance or significance of each item. Those we deemed essential are listed as “highly recommended” actions. Those items that we believe you should be doing, are listed as “recommended” actions. Items that may warrant further consideration are labeled as “may: and those representing possibilities or capabilities are listed as “can.”
