About EDPA

As our industry continues to ramp up, and we explore the new trends and directions the industry and our clients take us, we have an opportunity to make a significant and lasting impact. This impact goes beyond us, and while it may not affect us immediately, the long-term impact will be tremendous for the perpetuation of the industry. Sustainability has been an aspiration, but often felt more like a dream, desired by the industry for the past several years. The events industry has historically been responsible for large quantities of waste to landfill and having significant carbon footprint. In the current climate, sustainable business conduct is paramount for long-term success and the preservation of the exhibitions industry. EDPA provides exceptional leadership on this topic through its motivated members and active sustainability committee, which was first formed in 2019, but like many other initiatives, sustainability was put on the back burner due to the demands of the pandemic on our businesses. Our objective here is to create and promote a workable set of sustainability guidelines for our industry and to encourage all members to familiarize themselves with what is possible for their companies. This document has helpful resources on what the events industry must do on the road to net zero, and to ensure that your company, and its leadership, will take action and can be a part of this commitment to sustainability. Founded in 1954, The Experiential Designers and Producers Association (EDPA) is recognized internationally and serves thousands of professional members representing more than 300 corporations across 18 countries.

EDPA is committed to driving growth within the experiential, exhibit and event industry through Advocacy, Networking, Education and Good Works. Its members combine marketing, design and production leadership to help organizations create effective face-to face customer experiences and environments for tradeshows, events, corporate environments, museums, retailers, education and entertainment.
