That which gave me greatest joy was a surprise gift for my fourtecn-year-old niece, a high-school lass who had long wished for a Bible of her very own. On pagei 497 in the ad of the John C. W inston Co., 1010 Arch St., Philadelphia, Pa., I saw the picture of a good-looking Bible for only $2.65, with extra charge for name printed in gold and Patent Thumb Index. I sent for it, and when m y niece learned who the donor was, she showered me with kisses and enthusiastic expression of thanks. She has already shamed me by her interest in carrying it to Sunday-school and church services. Today I saw her turn quickly to the passage the minister was to read as his text. I probably would not have thought of sending for the Bible had I not found it necessary to pore over the pages of THE KING’S BUSINESS. Very sincerely yours,

Circulation Manager The King’s Business Los Angeles, California Dear Sir:

1 nearly wore out the December, 1937, issue of THE KING'S BUSINESS after I was told 1 was to substitute indefinitely as a teacher of an adult women’s Sunday-school class. The International Lesson Commentary helps were most stimulating. W hile I used and re-used that issue, 1 saw ads that interested me. One book was suggested in the lesson helps (page 4 8 2 ) ; so I had to hunt for it one day when I decided to send to the Biola Book Room for Dr. Erdman’s little book, “ The Gospel of M ark ." A s another help in m y teaching, I thought I ought to have a Bible commentary. I bought Jamieson, Fausset, and Brown’s Bible Commentary for $2.95 from W m . B. Eerdmans Publishing Co., 234 Pearl St., Grand Rapids, Mich. There is one line of Christmas cards advertised in this issue
