WE’RE LAUNCHING THE EMPLOYEE FORUM This month, we are delighted to be launching our Employee Forum across the company. The Employee Forum is an important communication channel to discuss workplace matters with representatives appointed from each contract and central functions. Whilst I chaired our previous Employee Forum, we now have many contracts located across the UK delivered by over 1,100 employees. Therefore, we need to hold regional forums to ensure the effectiveness of the forums, which allows us to better engage and gather the opinions from all our employees. The purpose of the forum is to openly share good practice, ideas and challenges to assist the group in making improvements across the business area. The representatives have a key role in communicating with their colleagues and seek their views and share the outputs from the forum.
Bi annually I will chair a national Employee Forum with representation from each of the regional forums. We are creating 6 forums across the company as shown below: • North West • Andover • STW Clean & Yorkshire • CSP • Trinity • Support Services The first forums will be taking place in June and we will be sharing progress through our newsletters.
Colin Kelly Managing Director

We focussed on how we can work collaboratively across our three companies using the insights a digitally enabled network will bring us to improve. All of our conversations were brilliantly captured and brought to life by Sandra from Inky Thinking.

Our Golf fundraising event in memory of Dave Heyes
We recently held a fundraising event at Regent Park Golf Centre in Bolton in memory of Dave Heyes who sadly passed in April. It was a great turn out with over 50 players in attendance and we managed to raise a staggering £3800 of which Dave’s family wish to put towards an headstone. Congratulations to the UU team who beat the Sapphire team 12-6 to claim the Dave Heyes Memorial Trophy. To Andy Forshaw (SUS) for winning the individuals with a cracking score of 42 and also to Curtis Thompson (UU) who came in with 37 points off a +2 handicap and winning 2 x nearest pins and both the longest drives. A big shout out to Duane Garfield for organising the event, sorting the raffle prizes and everything in between, and also to Colin and Michael for funding the day, you all did Dave proud.
Our team fell silent for two minutes to remember Dave Heyes who we all miss dearly. May he rest in peace.
