Deciding your future Campus life

Clubs, societies and volunteering

Meet like-minded people, continue an existing hobby or try something new. With a vibrant Students’ Union and over 300 student-run societies and sports clubs to join, there are lots of ways to challenge your mind and body. There really is something for everyone. You will have the opportunity to try something new, find your passion, enhance your employability and really maximise your Warwick experience.

We work closely with a number of societies including Warwick Consulting Society, Warwick Entrepreneurs, Enactus Warwick, Warwick Finance Society, Warwick Accounting Society, Women’s Careers Society and Warwick Business School Society (WBSS). WBSS is one of the largest independent student-run societies at the University of Warwick and provides access to a wide range of employers through company presentations and networking events, as well as the opportunity to network with students from other universities. Their buddy scheme is available throughout your first year for additional peer support. You can become further involved with academic life at Warwick by being elected as a Student Representative on the Student-Staff Liaison Committee (SSLC) which is made up of students and staff, including Course Directors. The committee provides an accessible arena in which to discuss ideas and provide feedback relating to teaching, learning and student support. Students on the SSLC also gain valuable leadership skills by taking on a course representative role. In addition to this, you can also volunteer to be a part of the Student Voice Group. This is a dedicated group that works with the WBS Student Experience and Engagement Team and wider Undergraduate Team to provide student insight and contribute to the strategic development of the programme. You can also get involved with local and international volunteering opportunities, enabling you to make a difference both close to home and on a global scale.

Over 65 sports clubs

With so many societies and sports clubs, it’s almost impossible to not find something of interest. It’s the perfect opportunity to try out hobbies you’ve always wanted to do and expand your network.” Soraya Benhassain BSc International Management with Marketing (current student)
